Union Public Service Commission – UPSC has calling online applications from eligible Indian Citizens for Indian Economic Service and Indian Statistical Service Examination 2011. Those who are eligible candidates have to apply through either online or offline on or before 29-08-2011. The details about age limit, educational qualification, pay scale and other details mentioned below.

Age limit: The age limit is must have attained 21 years and must have attained the 30 years as on 01-01-2011, relaxation as per rules.
How to apply: The eligible candidates have to apply either online or offline mode.
Online Application Form: The candidates have to apply through online from the www.upsconline.nic.in website on or before 29-08-2011, till 11.59 pm.
Offline Application Form: The candidates can also apply offline through prescribed format that means new common application form which can be purchased from designated Head Post Offices or Post Offices through out the country by cash payment of Rs 30/-, the candidates required to affix the postage stamp Rs 6/- on the acknowledgement card and send it together with application form, candidates duly filled in application form and acknowledgement card should then mailed in the special envelop, candidates should also write the name of the examinatio. Educational qualification: Post Graduate degree in Economics/Applied Economics/Business Economics/Econometrics for the post of Indian Economic Service and Post Graduate degree in Statistics/Mathematical Statistics/Applied Statistics for the post of Indian Statistical Service from a recognized University. Application Fee: Candidates applying online to pay the fee of Rs 100/- (No fee for Female/SC/ST/PH candidates) either remit the money in any branch of SBI by cash (OR) by using net banking facility of SBI (OR) by using visa/master credit/debit card. Candidates applying offline through Common Application Form to pay the fee of Rs 200/- through a single Central Recruitment Fee Stamp (CRFS) and affixed on the application form given in the space.
